Transferring Car Ownership
In the UAE, transferring ownership of a car requires adherence to specific standards, just like any other formal procedure. To guarantee a speedy and effective transfer of ownership, a set of required documents must be provided by the buyer and seller.
Documents Required
Automobiles may be registered in an individual’s or business’s name. In order to transfer ownership of a car, people must provide the following paperwork.
The vendor must present the mulkiya (vehicle registration card) and Emirates ID. Along with the resident visa and, in the case of a car loan, the final loan payment proof, the seller must also present the original copy of their passport. The seller would need to obtain a NOC or release letter from the bank if the auto loan was not paid off in full.
